Lake Balaton is a beautiful area only 1,5 hours drive from Budapest. This is one of the most exciting wine regions of the country with excellent wines and beautiful panoramas. The tour visits the Tihany Peninsula (beautiful views to the Lake) and Balatonfüred, followed by lunch and two winery visits. Tasting of 6 wines at each with cold snack.
This full-day private tour is a combination of visiting the most beautiful places of the North Shore of Lake Balaton and wine tasting at two wineries. During the tour you will visit the Tihany Peninsula, which is famous not only for the 1000-year-old Benedictine Abbey, but for one of the most beautiful views to the lake. Take a short walk through Tihany village, stopping at folk art shops. Continue the tour to Balatonfüred, the first spa town and tourist resort in Hungary and take a casual walk along the Tagore Promenade. After exploring these wonderful places you will stop for lunch. Continue the tour and visit two wineries, where you will get to taste local wines accompanied with cold snacks. Sample fine wines while enjoying panoramic views over the lake from the best wine terraces of the Balaton.
