Start your stroll in Marcius 15 ter and admire the Gothic Medieval cathedral of the Great Blessed Queen (Nagyboldogasszony templom).
Continue with a pleasant stroll along Duna Corso river promenade enjoying the most beautiful view from the Pest side over the Danube, its bridges and the Castle of Buda on the opposite side. Stop at the spectacular dance palace (Pesti Vigado) built in the 19th century, and see the Small Princess, a Peter Pan like figure which is an iconic symbol of Budapest. Explore Vorosmarty Square where you can find the most famous pastry shop, the 150 year old Gerbeaud Cafe. Visit the neighboring Joseph Square and its monumental porcelain fountains.
After a short walk, you will arrive at one of the highlights of the tour: Szechenyi Square and the iconic Chain Bridge built as the first bridge on the Danube, in 1849. Discover the elegant Four Seasons Hotel, one of the beautiful Art Nouveau palaces of the city.
Continue along the river bank and see the poignant Shoes on the Danube monument commemorating the Hungarian Jewish martyrs who were massacred by the Nazis during World War 2. Before shooting their victims into the river they forced them to step out of their shoes, that is why so many bronze shoes are populating the river bank today.
Finish your tour in Kossuth Square and admire the sights surrounding the majestic Hungarian Parliament building.
