The tour starts with the visit of the Roman city of Pompeii ruins, the most famous and evocative archeological site in the world. Your guide will show you the archaeological area's most important sites, like the thermal baths, the frescos of the Lupanare, the Macellum, and the Basilica. After the tour of Pompeii, drive up mount Vesuvius and stop in a local restaurant located in a panoramic place along the volcano slopes. Here, you'll taste local wnes paired with typical, genuine food.
Continue towards Mount Vesuvius, 'the Big Giant' whose eruption caused the destruction of Pompeii in AD 79. Reach 1000 mt. by car and then continue on foot up to the top of the volcano, where you'll see the crater. Admire the cone of Vesuvius (1281 mt.), the summit of Mount Somma (1133 mt.), and the Valley of the Giant. At the summit, you can enjoy an explanation made by a professional tour guide or choose to explore the crater at your own pace.
