What to expect

Dive headfirst into a whirlwind of Papal power, love affairs, and mystery on this small guided tour through the heart of Rome. Along the way, you’ll meet a colourful cast of characters – from powerful families to influential women – who left their mark on the Eternal City. Valeria, one of our local guides, says, ‘This tour is like a non-stop drama. We'll also step into the very scenes that inspired Puccini's timeless opera, Tosca – a tale of love and heartache.’

Kick start your tour at Castel Sant'Angelo, its ancient walls concealing centuries of Papal secrets. Here, we'll unravel the tragic story of Beatrice Cenci, a member of one of Renaissance Rome’s most illustrious families, whose life ended in tragedy with accusations of her father's murder. ‘Legend has it, that her ghost still roams the bridge on September 10th’, says local guide Valeria. But the drama doesn’t end here. Castel Sant’Angelo also sets the stage for the gripping finale of Puccini’s Tosca – where love, betrayal, and sacrifice reach their climax.

Stroll along Via dei Coronari, where you'll uncover juicy tales of secret affairs hidden in the city's shadows, along with scandalous anecdotes about the notorious Borgia family. Soak up the vibrant atmosphere of iconic squares such as Piazza Fiammetta and Piazza Navona, until the tour comes to an end at Piazza Farnese. Snap up those insta-worthy shots in front of the Farnese Palace, where the echoes of Papal power and romance still linger, leaving you with a new perspective on Rome’s captivating past.
